Mentor / Induction Program Plans

Preparatory for Early College High School Staff Development

Staff development activities are organized to meet the needs of our district employees. Staff development for instructional personnel is predominantly campus-based, related to achieving campus performance objectives addressed in the campus improvement plan and approved by our campus instructional leadership team. 

Mentor Program: 

All newly assigned educators to Preparatory for Early College High School will be assigned a mentor for the first year of employment. The purpose of the mentor will be to provide information, support, and encouragement for the success of the teacher and his/her students. 

Mentor Responsibilities: 

  • Introduce teacher to staff. 
  • Familiarize the mentee with the campus. 
  • Review all emergency procedures
  • Review daily standard operating procedures.
